I haven't sucessfully made mc8781 work with s10-3t because of whitelist issues. It does however work with s10-3.

Thanks ranns,

Thanks rev0326,

I am able to update BIOS for EM770W (my EM770W card has VID is 12D1 PID is 140C).
Now my s10-3t is connecting to 3G network :).

But I was not able to use GPSthough EM770W supports GPS, Does anybody had chance to make gps work on it?

Regards
Jeetsier

It doesn't have the actual gps chip. Only EM770U has the gps chip.

A big THNX to ranns.I followed your guide and managed to install the MC8780 with built-in GPS.At first it wasn't working because the VID/PID (1199_6832) I found on the net was wrong. So I tried the dangerous way and plugged the card during windows boot-up.Windows found the card and I cancelled the driver installation.I went to the card info and found that the VID/PID was (1199_6855).I hexed them into bios with reversed order and finally the S10-3t booted-up with no errors!!!

ranns thank you once again. You the man!!!

Glad you got your mc8780 working on the s10-3t. All mc8781 i've tried (correct vid_pid which i got using s10-3) still wouldn't pass the whitelist check.

you can try to contact SaFiS and ask for a copy of the firmware that he used.
