Hacking the Lenovo S10-2: Adding 3G

I never got my ericsson GPS to work, be it on my s10-2 or my s10-3. my garmin mobile pc app reports not finding a GPS device, even if after i set already the nmea port manually. i wish you luck on making it work though.

btw, the ericsson connection manager shows the nmea messages, you can save that log and analyze it with some nmea tool I think

Thanks a lot my friend, it worked.

As far as I know, GPS is only disabled by the driver... I installed the hacked Dell driver, and voila had GPS port

If first you open the GPS utility and then the Garrmin then it can finds GPS device.

And it works with Dell drivers? I mean you get a GPS fix?

I finally got the antenna that our friend described on another post, I installed it on netbook and the reception was better than I thought, 3 out of 5 bars when my iPhone has 4 bars, not bad. As of GPS, I'll test it tomorrow to see, I put the antenna in a special good place, top of the screen near the webcam, let's see the results tomorrow. GPS works thought, just the fix I must check.

I use my mobile phone's SIM card for mobile broadband internet because I have a Data plan. Is there a program that can use netbook with F3507G card as a telephone device using the microphone and speakers? Because I can't receive calls when my SIM is on the netbook, only messages.

GPS does work but no FIX, I'll check with an external antenna and if it works, I'll check a better place for the antenna
