I got one of those MSI Wind U100 clones under PICO brand. A few days ago, the LCD backlight failed. I can still see the images in the LCD screen but I can barely read whats on the LCD screen coz the light is off. So I had it checked in a nearby repair shop and was advised that the LCD has to be replaced and it was so expensive. So I went to another repair shop for a second opinion and was advised that the backlight needs to be replaced. It was a lot cheaper but unfortunately they don't have stock of that part. So i went back to the first shop I went to hoping that they would have the part but once I got there, they told me that the LCD screen doesn't have a backlight. So that got me confused as to which shop was having the correct diagnosis. I just wanted to ask MSI owners here who had any similar problem to what I had on what they did. Appreciate it if you could share some insights. Thanks.
all LCD has backlit it's just a matter of what kind it could be backlit or reflective it could be led or fluorescent
you need to get the lcd type and brand brand you can get from device manager or since it was diagnosed, ask them for the brand, and you can research what kind of lcd panel you have
kung ccfl yung lcd mo, could be na inverter lang yung problem
From what I gathered, the backlit ir led. Would you happen to know where I could have it repaired the cheapest? Maybe you could suggest a shop where I could go to. Thanks.

I'm from Dasma, Cavite. I guess I don't have much choice but to go there. I might perhaps get a good deal compared to shops here in the South. Thanks for the info .
